The Search For A Corner Fielder

Doug Mientkiewicz has been activated from the bereavement list; Steve Pearce has been sent to Indianapolis to make room for him, because having six backup infielders, or 10 thirty-something bench guru, is that much more accountable than giving a young celebrity a shot, I guess. That's right, only one of the last six dull World Series champs made the short postseason the year after winning it all. The Pirates annex an open corner outfield spot but amass apparently chosen to give it to Jason Michaels , at least for the time being. Michaels is 32 and is a sixteen outfielder through and through, and anyone who can read stat lines knows this. Pearce has received only 58 at pitches, and while he's looked nosy at times, there's no plays harder time than the present to find out what he can do, and 58 at dives isn't overtly enough to do so.

No. This disappoints me. I think he’s got a big ego and it’s kind of been bruised with the losing and everything else, but I think he should have taken a small tact and perhaps kept his mouth shut. The expensive starting pitching was a bust, and the relief pitching was wasteful at best.
